All northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway in Hawthorne have been closed due to a possible shooting involving California Highway Patrol officers on Thursday night.A SigAlert has been issued for lanes at Inglewood Avenue a little before 8 p.m., according to CHP.Authorities responded to a possible homeless encampment around 7:14 p.m. where shots were possibly fired.Sky5 images show traffic was heavily backed up as officers shut down highway lanes to investigate.405 Freeway lanes in Hawthorne shut down for a possible shooting involving California Highway Patrol officers on March 30, 2023. A duck is recovering after it was discovered swimming in a lake in Newport Beach with an arrow going through its neck.It was spotted on Saturday with the arrow protruding from its neck, and when an animal control officer attempted to rescue it with a small boat, it flew away. NEW DELHI (AP) — Army soldiers and other responders found 35 bodies inside a well after a structure built over it collapsed as a large crowd of Hindu faithful prayed at a festival for the god Rama, a state government official said Friday.Nearly 140 rescuers used ropes and ladders to pull out the bodies from the well after pumping out the water. MONTREAL (AP) — The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service said late Thursday it was investigating the discovery of six bodies in a marshy area of Quebec near Canada’s border with New York state.Police said they were awaiting the results of post-mortem and toxicology tests to determine the cause of death. They said they were still trying to identify the dead and their status in Canada.
