(KRON) -- Units with the San Jose Police Department are currently investigating a stabbing at Sunrise Middle School, according to a tweet from SJPD. A 15-year-old student sustained a non-life threatening injury, according to police. The suspect, who is also a student, is in custody police said. BRIGHTON, Colo. (KDVR) --Three people are in custody after one person was shot in Brighton, police said. Police responded near South 9th Avenue and Bush Street after receiving reports of shots fired around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. In a news conference, Brighton Police Chief Matt Domenico said student resource officers were on scene within seconds and responding officers showed up quickly after. Officers found shell casings at the intersection but no victims were located, Domenico said. One person was injured in the shooting and went to urgent care on their own with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Per information found at the scene, police located a vehicle at PVHS matching the description of the vehicle involved in the incident, Domenico said.
