QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Queensbury man is in custody following an investigation into a house fire on Monday night. Colby D. Geever, 52, was charged with Arson in the second degree, Reckless Endangerment in the second degree, two counts of Criminal Contempt in the second degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Resisting arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree, and Other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage. Two adults and a child occupied the house but were uninjured.Police say the fire was determined suspicious. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Pagedale man is in custody for allegedly shooting at his ex-girlfriend while she was parked outside her place of employment.According to a report filed by the Crestwood Police Department, the shooting happened in the early morning hours of July 13, at the Mobil On the Run on Big Bend Road.The victim was on a lunch break and sitting in her car eating.Police claim Jaylin Perry, 21, walked up to her car with a gun and fired 12 rounds at the vehicle. The frustrating trend of street takeovers and racing continued Tuesday night, though police in a couple cities cracked down and made multiple arrests and citations and impounded several cars.Dozens of cars, bikes and spectators packed a parking lot in Whittier, as shown in video from the scene. 42-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in DUI Accident near Hacienda AvenueLAS VEGAS, NV (July 19, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, one woman was killed in a DUI crash and Kellie Hart was arrested.Dispatchers received calls around 5:45 a.m., near Valley View Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue on July 18th.Officers say the driver of a 1995 Ford F-150 was heading east on Hacienda, approaching Valley View Boulevard. At the same time, Hart was driving a southbound 2018 Nissan Titan and failed to stop at the red light.As a result, the Ford and the Nissan collided at the intersection. 25-Year-Old Reckless Driver Dead after Deadly Collision near Argent AvenueELKO, NV (July 19, 2023) – Wednesday evening, police responded to a crash that claimed the life of Colt Smiley.It took place at the intersection of Mountain City Highway and Argent Avenue, at around 7:30 p.m., July 5th.According to the Elko Police Department, Honda Civic driven by 25-year-old Smiley and a Toyota Tacoma were involved in the deadly collision.Investigation showed that Smiley was traveling on Argent Avenue when he failed to yield at a red light and slammed the driver’s side of the Toyota.Furthermore, responding authorities transported Smiley to Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.It was unknown if the driver suffered extensive damages and he remained at the scene.Consequently, the authorities stated that alcohol or drugs were not the contributing factor to the incident. 39-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Folsom BoulevardRANCHO CORDOVA, CA (July 19, 2023) – Saturday night, Anthony Bustamante was killed in a pedestrian crash on Sunrise Boulevard.Officers responded to the scene shortly before 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of Sunrise and Folsom Boulevard.First responders located an unresponsive man on the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle.Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 39-year-old Bustamante, of Rancho Cordova dead at the scene.
