See smoke? Controlled burn at Queeny Park, Thursday ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The St. Louis County Park’s Forestry Division will conduct a controlled burn at Queeny Park today at 11 a.m.The controlled burn is scheduled at 550 Weidman Road on December 12, and Jason Pratte, the St. Louis County Parks Forestry Manager, will be at the location and available to answer questions.There will be a fire briefing at 11 a.m. to go over plans for the controlled burn and safety precautions, with the burn to follow.The smoke from the controlled burn at Queeny Park may affect the Greensfelder Recreation Complex and the Tails & Trails Dog Park. Tuberculosis cases rise in Colorado, making elimination goal less likely In December 2016, the state health department published a plan to eliminate tuberculosis in Colorado within a decade. Seven years later, the disease is making a comeback, though it’s not clear if that’s a temporary aftershock of the pandemic or a longer-term problem.The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported 84 people were diagnosed with tuberculosis so far this year, which is higher than the pre-pandemic average of about 70 cases per year. Two people have died, which is on the lower end of what Colorado typically sees.The increase was first reported by 9News.The state defines elimination as fewer than one case of active disease for every million residents, state epidemiologist Dr. Rachel Herlihy said. New poll shows widening gap in California's U.S. Senate race A new poll shows U.S. Rep.
