(KRON) -- A 29-year-old Santa Rosa man, Brad Adams, was sentenced by a judge Wednesday for attempting to murder a Taco Bell customer in the fast food restaurant's drive-through line. Adams was convicted in August of attempted murder and shooting at an occupied building. Under terms of a plea agreement, judge Troye Schaffer sentenced Adams to serve 11 years-to-life in state prison. Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez said, "Mr. Adams terrorized and injured someone in in our community. Mr. Adams earned the indeterminate prison sentence through his brazen behavior."The shooting occurred on May 4, 2022, at a Taco Bell on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. The incident began when Adams challenged another person to a fistfight while waiting in the drive-through line, according to the District Attorney's Office. After making that initial verbal challenge, Adams got out of his truck and pointed a handgun equipped with a laser-sight at the victim, prosecutors said. On behalf of fantasy football players everywhere, can we get some touchdowns? Please?Teams averaged just 20.6 points per game last week — the second lowest-scoring Week 1 in the past 13 seasons.Fantasy players felt that.Only seven quarterbacks had 20-plus points — the fewest in a Week 1 since 2017. Unless you had Tyreek Hill (39 half-PPR points) or the Dallas D/ST (37), your fantasy team likely didn’t put up a ton of points.Still, we saw some receivers excel (hello, Brandon Aiyuk) and got some clarity on running back timeshares (welcome back, Tyler Allgeier). We witnessed struggles from the tight end position (shoutout Hunter Henry and Hayden Hurst for being the only tight ends to eclipse double digits) as well as the return of the late-round quarterback (maybe). So, while Week 1 lacked offense, it didn’t lack surprises. Those surprises make start/sit decisions even more critical heading into Week 2. These decisions should, in theory, get easier as the season goes on and we gather more...Astros’ Hunter Brown and bullpen keep Athletics hitless through 6 innings

Last week’s deadly earthquake in Morocco claimed the lives of more than 2,000 people and left many homeless and displaced. The images of the devastation coming out of the country are motivating members of the D.C. area’s Moroccan community to help, and that includes an ambitious plan to build temporary villages coming from a Lorton, Virginia, man.“You can’t help it but start feeling guilty that you’re … privileged over here,” said Youssef Zeroual, who left Morocco for the United States in 1995.Zeroual said his mother was on the phone with friends in Morocco when the ground started shaking on Friday. Since then, he’s heard stories from friends who survived and spent nights on the streets, worried about aftershocks from the quake.Looking for a way to help, Zeroual, who is a realtor, began working with others in the Moroccan community to develop a plan. The group’s aim is to send building supplies to the region in order to help construct temporary villages.
