Netflix's 'Stranger Things' store is bringing 'The Upside Down' to Las Vegas LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Netflix is bringing "The Upside Down" to Las Vegas with Stranger Things: The Official Store, the company announced in a press release.Starting on Friday, May 26, "Stranger Things" fans in Vegas can be immersed in a world of supernatural mystery and 80s nostalgia. The store will be located inside the Showcase Mall on the Las Vegas Strip. Bill banning gender transition care for youth to be heard on Texas House floor again after protest, delay AUSTIN (KXAN/Nexstar) — Texas House lawmakers are expected on Friday to again take up Senate Bill 14, which would ban gender transition care for minors, after a vote was delayed earlier in the week when opponents filled the chamber's gallery to protest it. The bill was set for a vote Monday but the protests and a parliamentary move changed the plan. Amsterdam woman charged with grand larceny FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Montgomery County woman has been arrested on a grand larceny charge. State Police announced that Cynthia Mecca, 62, of Amsterdam, NY, surrendered herself on April 29, and she was processed by New York State Police. On December 15, 2022, troopers received a complaint that funds were missing from the bank account of an elderly Montgomery County resident. The investigation determined that Mecca, who was acting as the victim’s power of attorney, reportedly made several unauthorized withdrawals between March 2021 and January 2022.  Mecca allegedly withdrew over $88,000 without permission or for a justifiable purpose that would benefit the victim. Mecca was issued an appearance ticket to the Saint Johnsville Town Court for May 10 and was released.

Jordan Young accepts plea deal ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Jordan Young, 34, who was shot by police in January 2022, pleaded guilty to one count of felony menacing in court in Albany on Friday morning. Syntrell Howard, 21, and Ta'Shaun Patterson, 22, were placed under arrest after running from police Wednesday. 24-year-old Littleton man faces charges after Colorado model dies in fall from New York hotel A 24-year-old Littleton man has been arrested following the death of a Colorado model who fell from high in a New York Times Square hotel this week after a fight, police confirmed Friday morning.Tyler Griffin has been charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, New York Police Department Detective Arlene Muniz said.An 8-month-old daughter rescued at the OYO Times Square Hotel, 157 W. 47th St., has been placed in protective custody.The woman — identified online as Dezirae Andersen — fell from high at the hotel and landed on second-story scaffolding, police said.The police received a 911 call at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday of an assault in progress in the hotel, Muniz said. LAPD seeks hit-and-run driver who killed elderly man in South Los Angeles Police are searching for a driver who killed a pedestrian in a South Los Angeles hit-and-run late Thursday night.At about 11:50 p.m., a vehicle — possibly a motorcycle — struck a 72-year-old man at Western Avenue and 79th Street in the Manchester Square neighborhood, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. Instead of stopping to help, the driver continued south on Western Avenue, police said.
