How much do the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ gifts cost in 2023? Hint: a lot (NEXSTAR) – You would have to splurge a bit to buy your true love a partridge in a pear tree and two turtle doves in 2023.The total cost of all the lavish gifts mentioned in the "Twelve Days of Christmas" carol reached an all-time high of $46,729.86 this year, according to PNC's Christmas Price Index. For 40 years, the financial services company has released its index as a tongue-in-cheek way to measure inflation. It’s based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index.Take, for example, the partridge in a pear tree: It’s up 13.9% from last year because of the spiking cost of the tree it lives in (a proxy for housing costs). Meanwhile, the two turtle doves saw the highest price jump at 25%, which PNC said “reflects their rarity.” Brenda Lee’s ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ tops charts 65 years after release PNC’s first-ever Christmas Price Index, released in 1984, noted that the gifts would cost $20,069.58. WR Jerry Jeudy’s final five games could not only impact Broncos’ playoff run, but club’s future plans for the position Any good wide receiver always thinks he’s open. There’s a telltale when he knows it.He throws his hand up and waves, a signal to the quarterback: Throw it here. I’m gone.Jerry Jeudy threw his hands up repeatedly last week at Houston. He was open, too. But the gesturing came after plays rather than during them. With all the subtlety of a neon sign, it showed his frustration rather than his lightning ability to separate from defensive backs.A single play rarely makes the difference in an NFL game, but any of three times Jeudy found himself all alone over the final three quarters could have changed the complexion of a 22-17 loss that came up eight yards short for the Broncos. It’s mostly been that kind of season for Jeudy. His numbers are down. His frustration’s shown up multiple times, probably more frequently than he’s made game-changing plays.Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (14), left, and teammate wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (10) talks on the bench near the end o...
