CICERO -- Just a week and a half after eight inches of rain fell in Cicero, the town prepares for yet another wet week.Last Wednesday, the Town of Cicero was hit again by another round of rain, and now, the community prepares for a week of rain.During a town hall meeting this week, Cicero's Town Engineer said the sewer system was not built to handle the storm from the Fourth of July weekend.Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation on Tuesday, which sends resources to counties hit by recent severe weather, including Cook County. CHICAGO - A Little Village high school security guard is charged with criminal sexual assault of a 15-year-old CPS student. According to court records, 43-year-old Romell Campoverde met the victim at Farragut Career Academy High School when the teen was a freshman.Police say the teen shared her Snapchat username with Campoverde during her sophomore year and the two began communicating, eventually agreeing to meet outside of school grounds. (WFLA) - Two passengers and two flight attendants were injured by turbulence on a flight that landed Wednesday at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida, according to officials. The Allegiant flight, coming from Asheville, North Carolina, was carrying 179 passengers and six crew members, according to the airline.Paul Harris was on the flight and said he's never experienced anything like it. "There was a sudden burst of turbulence and then major, major turbulence," Harris said. "The plane felt like it dropped pretty considerably. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A planeful of Las Vegas-bound passengers ended up being diverted to Denver International Airport Tuesday night after an apparent fight broke out involving some passengers.Frontier Airlines flight 2143 left Philadephia around 10:30 p.m. ET Tuesday and was scheduled to arrive in Las Vegas around 8:40 p.m. PT. In downtown St. Paul, the Xcel Energy Center has a new general manager and executive director.Minnesota Sports and Entertainment announced July 12, 2023 that marketing director Kelly McGrath had been promoted as the new general manager and executive director of the Xcel Energy Center. The city’s premier concert venue doubles as the home of the Minnesota Wild. McGrath, who grew up in White Bear Lake, joined the organization in 2000 as the director of sales for the Wild.
