Nothing can fill you with the holiday spirit like seeing lights, lots and lots of lights, blazing and twinkling in the darkness of winter nights.That’s the magic of so many festive lights displays around the Bay Area. Some are presented by parks, gardens, churches and historic sites. (KRON) -- All southbound lanes of State route 13 just south of Lincoln Avenue in Oakland are now open as of 1 a.m. Monday following an hour-long road closure in the wake of a fatal collision there late Sunday night. (KRON) – A man barricaded himself in his home after brandishing his neighbor with a firearm, the Oakland Police Department announced Monday. Oakland police are investigating an altercation in the 300 block of Lester Avenue on Nov. 19 around 3:15 p.m. The OPD Communications Division was notified of an individual who brandished a firearm at a neighbor during a verbal dispute. Two Fremont men stabbed, suspect arrested for attempted murder Upon arrival, officers learned that the armed neighbor retreated into their residence after the incident.
