ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The annual Ice Breaker Challenge 5K is returning to the Albany Corning Preserve on March 26. Runners and walkers on the Corning Preserve Bicycle Path will race against rowers on the Hudson River. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! The day begins with a half-mile Kids Fun Run at 9:30 a.m., with the main event kicking off at 10 a.m. All participants will receive a pair of custom Ice Breaker Challenge running socks. HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Moose Caboose Tavern is soon opening in Hoosick Falls. According to owner Scott Rose, the tavern is aiming to open on Thursday, March 23. CANAJOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Sunday, March 19, the Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department responded to structure fires in Canajoharie and Palatine. Several goats perished in the first fire, but no other injuries were reported. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! At around 9:17 a.m., a structure fire was reported on Oswegatchie Road in Palatine. The Fort Plain and Ephratah Fire Departments were requested to assist. The fire was extinguished and all units were back in service a little over an hour after being dispatched.The second structure fire was reported at a farm on Smith Lane in Canajoharie around 1 p.m. Due to the windy conditions, the whole structure was engulfed in flames. ST. LOUIS - A man was killed and two other people seriously injured following a rollover crash late Sunday evening along Interstate 64.The crash happened around 10:40 p.m., just past Hampton Avenue.Police claim a 2007 Ford Escape was traveling westbound on the interstate when the vehicle left the right side of the road and overturned. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - An 18-year-old is in custody in connection with a shooting death from last summer in Spanish Lake.According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. on June 29, 2022, in the 11900 block of Iguana Terrace.Police found the victim, identified as Ra'hmello Stewart, suffering from a gunshot wound. Stewart was taken to a local hospital, but later died of his injuries. He was 24. Two teenagers on spring break from Illinois were killed at Colorado’s Copper Mountain Ski Resort Sunday evening after sledding down a half-pipe together and launching off a snowbank into the air.The teens, aged 17 and 18, “came down hard on the hard ice” below the half-pipe, according to a Summit County Sheriff’s Department statement, which said they experienced “blunt force trauma.”They received immediate medical attention but could not be revived and were pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said.Summit County authorities on Monday weren’t able to say whether the half-pipe was closed.
