He’s a rookie, but he has juice and a brilliant feel for the game. And aside from a second All-Star, that’s what these Warriors need as much as anything.Brandin Podziemski played like an All-Star on Tuesday. With Steph Curry sidelined, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson ejected before points were on the board, and Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul still playing like their best basketball is behind them, the Warriors’ hopes of beating the Timberwolves were tied to Podziemski, Dario Šarić, and Moses Moody.Do you smell that? It’s the stink of the 2019-2020 season.Luckily, it was only for one night.Related ArticlesGolden State Warriors | Without Big Three, Warriors drop heartbreaker to Minnesota Timberwolves Golden State Warriors | Klay Thompson, Draymond Green ejected after altercation with Timberwolves Golden State Warriors | Steph Curry undergoes MRI, out for Warriors’ game vs. Timberwolves Golden State Warriors |...Santa Cruz cannabis business owner arrested for alleged violent response to break-in

SANTA CRUZ — A 36-year-old Santa Cruz cannabis business owner was arrested this week after an apparently violent response to a break-in.Derek Hubbard, who police say was the victim of an early-morning robbery at his Encinal Street facility Monday, was being held without bail in Santa Cruz County Jail on Tuesday. Hubbard allegedly rammed into and shot at the escape vehicles of multiple thieves as they were leaving the scene around 4:30 a.m. Police later arrived in the area and were unable to apprehend the thieves, officials said.Hubbard — who runs a cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and distribution center — had been the victim of a prior break-in robbery and was alerted to the most recent break-in via his security system, Santa Cruz Police Deputy Chief Jon Bush said.In what turned into a rolling gun battle through the Harvey West neighborhood, Hubbard allegedly initiated the shooting with the departing thieves, according to Bush.“(Hubbard) used lethal and deadly force to try and s...Photos: Ex-‘RHOC’ Elizabeth Lyn Vargas lists renovated La Quinta estate for $9 million

A federal judge has dismissed Huntington Beach’s lawsuit against the state over housing mandates, a loss for local leaders who are fighting the state’s demands for the city to plan more housing.Judge Fred W. Slaughter granted the motions to dismiss the case filed by the state and the Southern California Association of Governments. Attorney General Rob Bonta, in a statement, celebrated the judge’s decision.“We filed a motion to dismiss Huntington Beach’s federal lawsuit because we believed it was meritless. We are pleased that the court agreed,” Bonta said. “With this behind us, we look forward to prosecuting our state case against Huntington Beach. Everyone must do their part to address California’s housing crisis.”In March, the state filed its lawsuit against Huntington Beach accusing it of knowingly violating state housing laws. Hours after top state officials announced the lawsuit, the city sued the state in federal court, arguing that because Huntington Beach is a charter city i...‘Free Palestine’ is not hate speech, California superintendent says after student’s suspension

Does Donald Trump ever visit Queens, the land of his youth? If he did, he would presumably be horrified. According to the census, Queens is the most racially and ethnically diverse county in the continental United States; it’s hard to think of a nationality or culture that isn’t represented there. Immigrants are almost half the borough’s population and more than half its workforce. And I think that’s great. When I, say, take a stroll around Jackson Heights I see the essence of America as it was supposed to be, a magnet for people around the world seeking freedom and opportunity — people like my own grandparents. And no, Queens isn’t an urban hellscape. It may not be leafy and green, but it has less serious crime per capita than the rest of New York City, and New York, although nobody will believe it, is one of the safest places in America. It’s also relatively healthy, with life expectancy around three years higher than that of the United States as a whole.Trump’s plansBut...A spectacular estate property in Lafayette’s Happy Valley, boasting unrivaled luxury and development potential
