NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Taysom Hill caught a touchdown pass and threw for another, Paulson Adebo intercepted two passes and also forced a fumble that he recovered, and the New Orleans Saints beat the Chicago Bears 24-17 on Sunday.The Saints (5-4) forced five turnovers, intercepting rookie QB Tyson Bagent three times and recovering two fumbles. The Gophers volleyball team got 25 kills and nine digs from Taylor Landfair to rally to a four-set victory over Northwestern on Sunday, winning 25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23 at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill.Melani Shaffmaster added 43 assists and 12 digs, and Mckenna Wucherer had a double double with 11 kills and 11 digs for Minnesota.As a team, Minnesota hit .240 with 56 kills, 11 blocks, 56 digs and seven aces, while Northwestern hit .190 with 56 kills, nine blocks, 66 digs and nine aces.Julia Sangiacomo had 16 kills with four digs to lead the Wildcats.The Gophers improved to 12-10 overall and 8-6 in the Big Ten with their sixth victory in eight matches. Even after temperatures dipped below normal last week with Colorado’s first snowstorm of the season, Denver was breaking heat records Sunday.With a high of 78 degrees, Denver has broken the record temperature for Nov. 5 — a degree above the old record of 77 degrees, and nearing the all-time monthly high of 81 degrees, the National Weather Service announced Sunday.Denver just set a new record high for the date hitting 78° breaking the old record of 77°. Anaheim mother sentenced for horrific torture of 10-year-old stepdaughter

An Anaheim woman was sentenced to nearly 15 years in prison for torturing her stepdaughter and abusing three other children in her household.Mayra Chavez, 33, was sentenced Friday to seven years to life, plus another seven years and 10 months for torturing her 10-year-old stepdaughter, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.Chavez was also found guilty of abusing three other children, including another stepdaughter and two of her own kids.Court documents said the young girl was found severely tortured with a “broken neck, bone sticking out of an unhealed sore, and bruises from head to toe as a result of months of increasingly humiliating and brutal cruelty.”The girl weighed only 50 pounds and was unresponsive when she was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Orange County in August 2022, the DA's Office said. (CNN) — Dozens were killed and many more injured in a blast at the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip late Saturday, according to an official at a nearby hospital and eyewitnesses who spoke with CNN.The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza said 47 people were killed. Three Vallejo burglary suspects arrested

(KRON) – Three suspects accused of burglarizing a Vallejo business were arrested, the Vallejo Police Department announced Saturday.Vallejo officers were informed by an employee of a business on the 400 block of Columbus Parkway that three suspects burglarized his store for over $70,000 worth of merchandise over the span of a week on Oct. 23. The employee provided the officers with the suspects’ pictures and their Chevrolet C/K 2500. 1 gunshot victim in gravel condition, OPD investigates Vallejo PD located the Chevrolet near the intersection of McGrue Avenue and Deborah Street and initiated a traffic stop. One killed and one critically wounded in early morning crash Sunday in Hayward

Police said in a statement Sunday that officers responded at 2:14 a.m. to a report of a single vehicle collision near the intersection of Winton and Magna avenues.
