Motorcycle-Auto Collision near Arcadia Trail Left 35-Year-Old Motorcyclist HurtYUCCA VALLEY, CA (July 10, 2023) – Later Sunday afternoon, a DUI collision on Emerson Avenue left Brian Holdren hospitalized.Deputies responded to the crash around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection near Emerson Ave and Arcadia Trail.Upon investigation, authorities learned that a vehicle hit the motorcycle traveling eastbound on Arcadia. One Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near 167th AvenueALAMEDA COUNTY, CA (July 10, 2023) – Monday morning, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Interstate 580.Police responded to the scene around 9:35 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near 167th Avenue on June 26th.Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the highway, just east of 167th Avenue. Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. SAN JOSE — A man died Saturday after a two-car crash on Highway 237 in North San Jose, according to authorities.Around 5:09 p.m. Saturday, a 47-year-old man driving a 2004 Honda Civic began to veer to the left while driving in the far-left lane on eastbound Highway 237, just west of First Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle hit the median, which sent it off to the right across all lanes of traffic. The car went off the roadway and into a concrete barrier on the edge of the road.After colliding with the barrier, the car again veered to the left and hit a Toyota Tundra being driven by a 52-year-old man. The Honda again hit the center median, this time coming to a stop on all four tires. By Rebekah Riess | CNNOne hiker was killed and two others injured in a “wet, loose avalanche” on Split Mountain in California, authorities said this past Friday.The incident occurred on June 2nd near Big Pine, according to the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office.The mountain is about 80 miles east of Fresno in the Sierra Nevada.Around 4:30 p.m. the sheriff’s office was told about an avalanche at about 12,500 feet on Split Mountain, above Red Lake. Three hikers were caught in the avalanche while coming down the mountain they had climbed.One of them sustained major injuries and later died, the avalanche center said. The other two had minor to moderate injuries.The two survivors were evacuated Sunday evening.Monday morning, a California Highway Patrol helicopter was called in to try to recover the body of the third hiker, but weather was too bad. (BCN) -- Hayward's city website was down on Monday after being targeted over the weekend by a cyber attack, city officials said. Thus far there's no sign that personal data of employees or the public was breached in the attack, which was discovered Sunday morning, according to a statement from the city. Although the city's website remains down, Hayward's 911, emergency dispatching, police, firefighter and emergency-medical services are still working. Until the website is back online, the public can conduct business with the city by telephone, mail or in person.
