CHICAGO —A man was shot in the leg near the newly-opened Bally's temporary casino in the city's River North neighborhood.The shooting happened around 2:47 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of North State Street. Police said the 21-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when someone inside a silver Dodge pick-up truck fired shots.The man was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the left leg.No one is in custody. UNIONTOWN, Pa. (WBOY) — Pennsylvania triplets Hannah, Hunter and Emma Sabatula all earned their Eagle Scout rank this year, the highest award possible in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Hannah and Emma are both members of Troop 193. Based in Morgantown, Troop 193 was the first female troop established in the Mountaineer Area Council after girls were allowed to join the BSA in 2019. Their brother Hunter is a member of Troop 608 in Uniontown, which is part of the Moreland-Fayette Council. Violent crime in Minnesota dropped by 8.6% in 2022, acccording to a crime report by the state Department of Public Safety.The 2022 Uniform Crime Report is a collection of data supplied by law enforcement agencies from across the state.In the seven-county metro area, violent crime dropped by 6.9%, according to the report. PATTERSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man has been arrested in the town of Patterson following a homicide investigation, according to state police. Mrs. Betsy Stambach-Fuller created the a capella group Vocal Point, and her students have reached new heights this year. On August 1, the high school singers jammed out on stage at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center as the opening act for the rock band "Foreigner."The soloist, senior Arabella Tracy-Bonner. belted out the lyrics, "Oh, oh, Sweet child of mine." The a capella choir created a background music bed with just their voices. The Saratoga responded with cheers and a loud "sing it, girl!" after the first verse. "It was really, really exciting. EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Monday, the East Greenbush Central School District initiated a district-wide secured lockout. According to Superintendent Jeffrey Simons, he was notified by Goff Middle School staff of an unspecified threat made via a voicemail message left on Sunday night. Each of the elementary schools was able to start their instructional day.
