This will lead to a slick commute Friday morning in some areas ahead of a nice weekend. (KDVR) -- Police are looking for a vehicle believed to be involved in a deadly shooting from January of last year. A dark gray, possibly Mercedes C Class stopped in front of the home on Jan. 30, 2022, and an undisclosed number of people got out of the vehicle and shot at the residence, police said. Denver's April snow totals lower than normal DENVER (KDVR) — April is historically Denver's second snowiest month of the year. However, this year the metro only picked up a little more than 2 inches of snowfall, a quarter of the normal amount. In an average year, the Denver area will see its snowiest months in March and April, picking up 11.5 inches in March and 8.8 inches of snowfall in April. This year though, March and April have brought in much less snow than normal.March in Denver wrapped up with 5.1 inches of snowfall, which is less than half of the typical 11.5 inches. As of April 27, Denver has only picked up 2.2 inches of snowfall, a quarter of the normal 8.8 inches. Injured pelican found stuck in sand recovering at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station A seabird is on the mend after being saved on Miami Beach.The injured pelican is currently in the care of the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station in Miami.The big bird was found stuck in the sand on a shoreline near 69th Street.An Ocean Rescue lifeguard took the bird the experts after realizing it wasn’t moving.The bird is being cared for by the team at the Seabird Station and will hopefully be flying again soon.“Once he gets a little bit stronger, then he will be able to fly. We go into our outside pens; it’s kind of like the second stage of rehab,” said Dr. Amanda Burke, a veterinarian at the station. “Once they go out there, they learn how to fish on their own again, fly back and forth in the flight pen, and then, once they get cleared, then they’re out for release.”Hopefully, Burke said, that will happen in about three weeks.
