INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree was arrested Friday on domestic violence charges after he allegedly “body slammed” a female victim earlier in the week, according to court records.The 25-year-old Ogletree was charged with domestic battery committed in the physical presence of a child less than 16 years old and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, according to Indiana state court records. Both are felonies.The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday in Hendricks County, just west of Indianapolis, according to the records.Officers with the Avon Police Department who responded Tuesday to the reported domestic disturbance found a female victim in pain and unable to move and she was taken to a local hospital to have her injuries assessed, according to a probable cause affidavit, The Indianapolis Star reported.The victim said a fight began when she looked at Ogletree’s phone and discovered that he was cheating on her, according to the affidavit....

14 killed in Ukrainian strikes on border regions, Russia says

Ukraine launched a series of drone and missile attacks on Russia, killing 14 people, including two children, in what Moscow described as “indiscriminate attacks” on Saturday. Suspect arrested in Worcester stabbing

A man is facing an armed assault to murder charge in connection with a stabbing in Worcester late Friday night that left a person hospitalized with serious injuries, officials said.Officers responding to a reported stabbing in the area of 765 Main St. around 9:45 p.m. found a 43-year-old man suffering from stab wounds, according to Worcester police. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.During a follow-up investigation, police identified a man and woman who may have been involved and distributed their picture across the department.An officer working a detail in the area of Austin and Irving street saw two people who matched the description and took the male into custody, according to police. A pat frisk allegedly revealed a knife with dried blood on it and other evidence linking him to the stabbing. Police: Boston SWAT at the scene of active shooter at building fire in Mattapan

Boston police responded to a report of gunshots in Mattapan Saturday shortly after firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish a fire, authorities said.Members of the city’s SWAT team were brought in after a suspect opened fire on first responders, who were called to 50 Fairlawn Ave at about 11:35 a.m., according to police.City data shows there have been 107 shooting incidents in Boston in 2023 with 141 victims through Dec. 24. Man charged with manslaughter in Roncesvalles fatal incident

Toronto police have charged a man with manslaughter in connection with a fatal incident in Roncesvalles.Officers were called to reports of a medical complaint in the Roncesvalles and Boustead Avenues area around 9 a.m. Tuesday.The victim was located in a residence in medical distress. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.He had been allegedly struck by an object by “a person riding a bicycle,” according to police. The victim has been identified as Vinko Skoko, 68, of Toronto.On Friday, Vangeil Keskinov, 51, of Toronto was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter and assault with a weapon.He appeared in court on Saturday.

British actor Tom Wilkinson, known for ‘The Full Monty’ and ‘Michael Clayton’, dies at 75

LONDON (AP) — Tom Wilkinson, the Oscar-nominated British actor known for his roles in “The Full Monty,” “Michael Clayton” and “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” has died, his family said. He was 75.A statement shared by his agent on behalf of the family said Wilkinson died suddenly at home on Saturday. It didn’t provide further details. Wilkinson was nominated for a best actor Academy Award for his work in 2001’s family drama “In The Bedroom” in 2001 and in the best supporting actor category for his role in “Michael Clayton,” a 2007 film that starred George Clooney.
