MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Hanser Alberto’s throwing error allowed the automatic runner to score from second base and the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday night.With pinch-runner Willi Castro on second, Michael Taylor put down a sacrifice bunt. The Atlantic Coast Conference has reached a three-year extension agreement with commissioner Jim Phillips, a person with knowledge of the situation said Tuesday.The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the league hasn’t publicly announced the agreement. The extension, first reported by ESPN, would keep Phillips under contract into 2029.The league hired Phillips as the successor for the retiring John Swofford. The vote was 3-2 in opposition.Original: On Tuesday, the Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners will continue a public hearing to approve or deny a moratorium for up to six months on accepting any applications for a "Use by Special Review" for an oil and gas facility. The hearing has been continued from March 28 after the board cut off public comment after about two hours. Since Colorado Senate Bill 181 was passed in 2019, additional authority has been given to each county government to enhance oil and gas regulations. Two equipment vehicles derailed on the MBTA Blue Line and Red Line late Monday night and on Tuesday morning, the MBTA confirmed. Officials said a vehicle carrying welding equipment derailed around 11 p.m. on the Blue Line at a track switch near Orient Heights. The vehicle was later rerailed before 1 a.m., officials said. Later, around 7:15 a.m., officials said the back wheels of a piece of work equipment went off the rails on a track siding on the Red Line. Officials said the track siding was not the main line used for passenger service. There were no injuries or damage reported in either incident and service was not impacted.
