Another prison worker was assaulted by an inmate Thursday, the seventh injured this week.A corrections sergeant “was injured in an unprovoked inmate assault” about 8:15 a.m. at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Stillwater in Bayport, the Minnesota Department of Corrections said in a statement.“During a routine facility unit movement, an inmate rushed up to the sergeant and began striking him in the face,” the statement continued. “Other corrections officers immediately responded to stop the assault.”The sergeant was taken to Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater for evaluation and treatment of injuries.Three prison workers were assaulted by two inmates Tuesday at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Oak Park Heights. British goth rock legends the Cure will return to St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center on June 8 and the band is promising tickets are priced “to benefit fans.”But as has become common for local arena concerts, neither the venue nor the promoter announced ticket prices. GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police are investigating a robbery reported at the Speedway at 123 Freemans Bridge Road on Thursday morning. According to the report, the suspect entered the store, handed a note to the employee that implied he had a weapon, took a significant amount of cash, and left. The suspect drove westbound on Dutch Meadows Lane. CLAYTON, Mo. - A Ferguson man was charged Wednesday in connection with a recent series of motorcycle and ATV thefts in St. Louis County. Authorities are looking for a second individual involved in the crimes.The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Mark Misuraca, 38, with two counts of stealing - over $750, three counts of second-degree burglary, and two counts of stealing a motor vehicle. He remains jailed on a $50,000 cash-only bond.Police claim Misuraca broke into a Wally's gas station on Nov. 27, 2022, and stole an industrial smoker. The suspect drove a white Econoline van to and from the scene. The smoker, valued over $750, was not recovered. (AP) — Missouri voters could decide on whether to restore abortion rights in the state if constitutional amendments made public Thursday make it to the 2024 ballot.The proposals would amend Missouri's Constitution to protect abortion rights and pregnant women, as well as access to birth control.Currently, most abortions are outlawed in the state. ST. LOUIS - A juvenile has been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old St. Louis girl.Emily Valentine was shot in the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue in the Gravois Park neighborhood on Feb. 28.Police responded to the scene at about 7:40 p.m. that night. When officers arrived, they found Valentine on a parking pad behind a residence and learned that she had suffered a gunshot wound to her face.
